Let's talk SELF CARE!
We are officially half way through 2021 and things are *changing* out there, which probably brings up a LOT of conflicting emotions. As Bird touched on in her newsletter this month - focusing on what you do have control over is a great way to combat anxiety and other icky feels during times of shift. So in that spirit, I'd like you to take a minute (10 actually) to make a list of some ways you can take EXTRA CARE of yourself this month and in the future. I hope you find that this list includes things you already do, not just aspirational ideas, but either way, be honest and don't worry about how big/small/impressive or whatever the list seems. JUST WRITE IT DOWN.
Take 10 minutes in a quiet space, and write down a list of things that feel (to you) they would fall under the category of "self care".
Don't look up stuff on Pinterest or search the hashtag, just confer with yourself and see what comes up for you! As always, when we are practicing accountability we like to leave blame/shame and judgement at the door, so I encourage you to do that here as well. No qualifying or belittling what comes up, it's coming up for a reason and you should give it a moment to explore why honestly before shooting ANYTHING down.
"Self care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what's left of you."
