When I was maybe 18 or 19, Fern took me under her wing- she was a wonderful resource for me but I was young and terrified of success and I let our relationship peter off. She was amazing. Sitting with her at her desk watching her field phone calls and command attention was astonishing. I wanted her life and I ran from it :)
