Michaela Kahan is an LA based actress by day and a bartender by night... except for tonight when she'll be performing in this staged reading as Nina for all of you. Michaela is a big fan of doing voices, taking naps with her dog, and she can't believe her luck that she gets to bring this nuanced, haunted character to life under the direction of such an insightful, tenacious creator. She wants to thank you and her sweet family for coming to this Stupid Fucking play reading, and will apologize profusely after the show should you make it known that you were chilly.

Productions of note: Armitage (Don Nigro), Smoke (Kim Davies), and a 17 years-in-the-making immersive production of No Exit (Jean Paul Sarte). Noisy Nest was created in 2013 by founder Bird in her living room with a copy of "Our Town", wine and a beautiful charcuterie board from Smart + Final. Every Wednesday night she would open her home to wondering artists. They would gather and read a play, discuss the text and drink. This weekly event, The Play Readers, grew and relocated to Beverly Hills, and is now in residency at the Formosa Cafe in Hollywood on the first Monday of every moth! Since its creation, Noisy Nest has functioned as a Theatrical Production Company + accessible resource for Actors at every stage of their careers. We offer classes, workshops , audition services and events to inspire both artist and layperson. 2020 shifted the landscape of live theater, maybe for now - maybe forever... but Artists are resilient and resourceful. We are so grateful to be back in person, creating theater.
