Let's do a little forum explorin' shall we? Back in the Resources tab you will see a clickable in the top left labeled "Call Prompt Archives" . There you will find alllllll the call prompts from 2021 listed with the corresponding month, along with a tab that houses all of the call prompts (in one post) from 2020. TAKE YOUR PICK! This is an opportunity to revisit a previous prompt that felt sticky or brought up a lot for you in the past - see if things have shifted at all! Or this could be a chance to sift through and see what we focused on in a month you weren't a part of the group. No right or wrong, just pick ONE prompt (and stop yourself from the "research" phase if you have gone through more than 5 prompts without deciding) - we will discuss your selection and how it went for you in our call this week.

In January 2022!!!
So turns out they rebranded - FYI, just in case anyone else ever wants to take courses! I found one that is specific to the version I have and is 5 hours roughly - which is great! I'll stick with my 1 hour a day and should be done by buddy check in, with a whole week of fuck-it buffer! This way if I am finding I still have questions, I can turn to YouTube like Jose suggested and should be a ProTools Pro in no time!

SHARE YOUR GOALS! Tell at least 3 people (outside of Artist Accountability) about what you are *specifically* working on this month/this year. This is an exercise in vulnerability, so take care not to qualify, downplay or slide into protective cynicism. Simply share what you are excited about pursuing - no ifs or buts about it! This goes right along with how we celebrate our wins. Where we choose to put our focus brings more of the same. Keep that in mind when you hear yourself talking about where you are and where you are headed.

Make a Wish List! In the spirit of the season, this month, we will be creating a "wish list" to help visualize, believe in, and then let go of, our deepest desires. So follow the prompt below and dare to dream! Find a quiet space, with a pen/pencil and paper Start with ONE wish/dream. Visualize it in great detail - for example if it was to own a new car; imagine driving it, see the road from inside it, what does it smell like, how does it feel getting into the driver seat, what music would be on the radio, etc. MAKE IT FEEL AS REAL AS POSSIBLE. Write this wish/dream down. Repeat steps #2-3 if you have more wishes/dreams but DO NOT exceed 5. When your list feels complete, take a few moments to sit in silence and express gratitude for where you already are and what you already have. Celebrate some of your wins thus far privately. Seal in that you already are whole, just as you are. Release the list! You may burn, shred, throw away, (or keep) your list, but you must let go fully. Trust that you have the vision in you and you do not need to death grip your dreams, you gotta have a little faith ;) We won't be discussing the list on our call. Do not 'hang on' to the list expecting to discuss it. Happy Dreaming!

Let's say goodbye to some excuses this month! Write down a list of your commonly held list of "reasons" why you can't live your best life. Why are you stuck where you are? Once you've written the list down, take some time away from it (perhaps a day) and then revisit the list. . . Imagine a partner, friend, or family member shared these with you explaining why they could not take any steps towards goals they have. Would you have advice or words of wisdom for them? Is there any encouragement you could offer in the face of these obstacles? Be genuine, and see how many you can revisit with a fresh perspective! Perhaps write in different colored ink a rebuttal to each excuse. Keep this list nearby where you tend to get stuck so you can be the support you would freely and willingly give to others!

A very literal big PICTURE!!! We talk a lot about our big picture goals, about what we want for ourselves; we visualize, and hopefully, fill out big picture worksheets to make it all the more real. Now let's DRAW it into existence!! Break out a piece of paper, and your weapon(s) of choice : watercolor, colored pencils, markers, crayons, sharpies, etc.; and have a little fun! Start by visualizing your 5 - 10 year big picture goal. What is your life like in general and what specific goal have you finally tackled and are ready to celebrate? N0w choose from the two options below to visualize and depict for yourself. A: Receive an Award: Draw yourself accepting an award! -What is the award for? (be specific!) -Who is presenting it to you? (colleague, mentor, fan?) -What are you wearing? Where is the ceremony? -Who is in the audience? -Why does the audience value this accomplishment and are celebrating you for it? B: Guest of Honor: Draw yourself at a party thrown to celebrate your accomplishment! -What are you celebrating? -Who is celebrating with you? -What are you wearing? What kind of party is it/where is it? -Why are you all celebrating this accomplishment at this time? Please embrace the excitement and joy of this! Naysayers and haters are not invited to the ceremony or party so go ahead and check them at the door. Breathe some life into the real possibility that you are capable of creating any life you choose to pursue.

When you think about a yellow car, you're more likely to see yellow cars on the road. This month let's talk about our mindset and what we CHOOSE to focus on. We love to focus on action each month, but let's be honest, action is a result of our beliefs and thoughts right? So let's shine some light on the narratives we are writing for ourselves every single day. Take a day (or two) to pay attention to the way you speak about yourself to others, the way you describe situations and tell stories/recount experiences. What sorts of words do you gravitate towards? When you find negative phrases/thoughts/words that come up often - or at least more than once or twice - write them down. What are some positive words/thoughts/phrases you could work to replace the negative ones? If you have found it difficult to tackle certain goals in the past, "know" things won't change, or often feel stuck, I really encourage you to take this as far as you can, as often as you can! Acknowledging and being an active participant in what you are literally telling yourself every single day can have a huge impact on the actions, behaviors, and habits you have in your life.

Let's talk SELF CARE! We are officially half way through 2021 and things are *changing* out there, which probably brings up a LOT of conflicting emotions. As Bird touched on in her newsletter this month - focusing on what you do have control over is a great way to combat anxiety and other icky feels during times of shift. So in that spirit, I'd like you to take a minute (10 actually) to make a list of some ways you can take EXTRA CARE of yourself this month and in the future. I hope you find that this list includes things you already do, not just aspirational ideas, but either way, be honest and don't worry about how big/small/impressive or whatever the list seems. JUST WRITE IT DOWN. Take 10 minutes in a quiet space, and write down a list of things that feel (to you) they would fall under the category of "self care". Don't look up stuff on Pinterest or search the hashtag, just confer with yourself and see what comes up for you! As always, when we are practicing accountability we like to leave blame/shame and judgement at the door, so I encourage you to do that here as well. No qualifying or belittling what comes up, it's coming up for a reason and you should give it a moment to explore why honestly before shooting ANYTHING down. "Self care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what's left of you." Katie Reed, https://www.katiereed.com/about/ writer, focused on mental health

Pick ONE of the following, perform the action for 10 minutes (set a timer): a. Write a list of affirmations (positive statements about yourself) b. "Declutter" a social media account: go through the people/accounts you are following and clean house, unfollow at will c. Read something encouraging, motivating, or otherwise uplifting (audio counts too) Please only do this for 10 minutes, and do not "count it" if it's something already in your daily schedule - make this a distinct and separate activity that you will commit to just once before our Big Picture call.

If you are unsure of how to engage your buddy when YOU call THEM to check in on their progress - here are some questions to get the ball rolling!! Just remember, this is their time to share where they are at, what they've accomplished so far (including realizations of what isn't working!!) and to look forward to the next week. You are there to encourage, support, and help them see opportunities for success! - How did your goals shape up this week? / How did this week go? / Where are you at with your goals? Ask specifically about what they agreed they would have done by this point. Encourage them to CELEBRATE their wins so far!! Even if they realized their plan didn't go...as planned - that's a win!! Better to find out quickly, pivot and begin a new tactic, rather than keep beating our heads against a wall! Let them explain legitimate REASONS, but do not reprimand if they are making EXCUSES for being behind on their goals. Help them work through what worked and what didn't! Celebrate what worked and help them brainstorm how to improve on their attempts moving forward. - How is the upcoming week looking? Encourage them to explicitly look at their schedule, available time, and help them be realistic about what they can commit to - What else do you need from me? If they want to check in again before Show and Tell that is totally fine!!! But again, it is on them to reach out and keep you up to speed.

JULY 2020 Write yourself a "Thank You" letter. It doesn't need to be long, or an Oscar-worthy speech for the greatest achievement in your life. But do actually write it down -on paper, on a Word doc, on your Notes app, on a typewriter. Be genuine and truly grateful for whatever you decide to thank yourself for, no matter how "small", and let your past self know it! AUGUST 2020 Think about why you started. "Why?" Probably everyone's most dreaded question when times are tough. Spend time with this question as often as you can, as difficult as it might be. Let your answer start out weak! Write it down. Think about it some more. The stronger and more specific the "why" becomes, the better we become at pushing through the sticky spots, the uncomfortable and downright dirty parts that are the means to and end. So, Why are you pursuing this goal? SEPTEMBER 2020 Reflect on the happiest day of your life. Think of the happiest day you can recall, a day that you can smell, taste, see, hear and feel the details of. Close your eyes and think of every single detail that you can remember from that day. Write it down! Even if it comes out gobbledy gook, write out everything that comes to mind about that happy day. The goal here is to immerse yourself so fully in that feeling that nothing could bring you down from and practice bringing that feeling with you. We'll talk more about this in our call! OCTOBER 2020 Who inspires you? Write down the name of a person (real or fictional) that inspires you, who you look up to and admire. Write down some of the reasons why, some of their most impressive traits, and some accomplishments that stand out to you in particular. Feel free to go down a little Google rabbit hole on the person! (no more than 20 minutes). Now that you've shone some positive appreciation for that human, turn that inward. Circle or make note of the traits you share with your inspiration. Jot down a time you acted like your inspiration or some actions you've taken that were in their likeness. Resist any urge to downplay or negate any example your brain sends your way. All examples are valid. Write them down. If you wish to be like this person, acknowledge the ways in which you already are like them. NOVEMBER 2020 What is Your Productivity Ritual: . Take some time over a day to really mine for this one. Write out a list of all the things you do to get yourself geared up for a big task. You may have different tactics for different tasks! Make a list of all of it - songs you play, food or drink you might start with, clothes you wear, talisman or trinkets you set up - any choice you have made in the past** to help mentally set yourself up for some undertaking. Let go of judgement and shine some awareness, you may not have even realized you were doing certain rituals!! List it all. DECEMBER 2020 Take a look back: If you have made a Big Picture map in the past - revisit it. If you haven't, I highly recommend using the worksheet in the forum to create one, or a few! Either way, reflect on your Big Picture Goal, maybe the 1 year or further dream you set out to accomplish within the past year or few months, and then look back. *Write down* all of the tasks and mini goals that have brought you closer to your goal. *Write down* a list of all the big, and especially the small, wins you have under your belt. Treat it like a reverse "to do" list. A list of "have done"s! If you like, you can even check them off, highlight, or cross them off for a more visceral reminder of the progress you have made so far. Important Note: As always, create this list without judgement or commentary, try to be as objective as possible and do NOT exclude ANY steps from the list.
